NOTE: As tomcat
is integrated with apache you do not have to use port number like
8080. Another advantage is: even if your firewall blocks 8080 port,
your DSpace can be accesed through port 80 of apache. LiveCD can even
send mails, if you are running on a machine with Internet IP number and
not behind firewalls

NOTE: Koha opac shows blank page if you have not configured koha using kohaadmin. Here too, you do not have to use port numbers
Multi-Lingual Input: Ibus
If you wish to input data in a language other than English either in DSpace or Koha
a) To open Ibus preferences, click System -> Prferences -> Keyboard Input Methods
b) Click on Input Method -> Select Input Method and choose the input language/script (along with language choose iTrans. It is good choice for those who are not familiar with language keyboad. Using iTrans, one can enter the English spelling and the system would take care of transliteration
c) Now you will see a keyboard icon on the right handside top corner. Choose the language or your choice and restart ibus by clicking right mouse botton.

uses exim4 mail server and gets mail through dovecoat IMAP server.
Dovecat can facilitate accessing your mail using any of the mail
clients like evolution, thunderbird, outlook express etc. If your
organization has firewall, read gateio and talk to your network administrators.
